Outstanding BB4K Junior Fundraisers

At the beginning of this past summer, siblings Michael (8) and Ashley (9) each put together a business plan to raise money both for a Wii for themselves and for Building Blocks for Kids.  The bottom line on their plans gave 1/2 their proceeds to BB4K and the other half was saved for their game station.  Michael's business ~ Michael's Yummies ~ included homemade baked goodies that he sold in various places including the lobby in the building where BB4K is located and the South Lebanon Farmer's Market.  Ashley's business ~ Adorably Ashley ~ included hand-painted tote bags, visors, shirts, etc. that she sold via the Farmer's market and through word of mouth.  They exceeded all their goals and by the end of the summer, had donated over $300 to BB4K and were able to buy their Wii!!!   Great job and thank you very much Ashley and Michael!!

Congratulations to BB4K President ~ Melissa Donovan!!

Melissa Donovan was recently named a winner of the Cincinnati Business Courier's prestigious Forty Under 40 award. This annual competition spotlights an impressive group of young, professional & community leaders who haven’t yet reached the age of 40. In its 13th year, the 2009 class saw 470 nominations of which only 40 were selected!

In addition to her career accomplishments at Meyer Capital Management, Melissa has made leadership-level contributions to several charities and non-profit organizations in the greater Cincinnati area including Building Blocks for Kids. These contributions helped focus organizational strategy, increased membership, strengthened financial controls, and raised much needed funding.

In addition to her professional & civic responsibilities, Melissa is a wife & mother who lives with her husband, Chris, and two children (our Outstanding Junior Fundraisers above) in Kings Mills, OH.
