Chase's Fundraiser

 

Chase Langland has Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), type 1. You may not know what that is, as a lot of people have never heard of it. Chase is beating the odds. Fifty percent of children with SMA-1 do not live past two years of age? Chase turned 5 on June 1st. Despite the challenges brought on by this horrific genetic disorder, Chase is a very happy little guy, with a beautiful smile.

The reason for this benefit is to raise enough money to be able to install an elevator/lift in Chase's home, and allow the family the funds that are necessary to trade in their van for a more accessible van. This will allow them to safely transport Chase. Chase's room is upstairs, making it difficult to safely carry him and his medical equipment that he needs to have with him at all times. Having an elevator/lift will resolve this issue.

 

$10/person (includes buffet dinner, live band - My Sister Sarah- silent auction, raffles, while enjoying the company of some amazing Bengals Players)

Holiday Adopt-A-Child Program

 

By fall each year, BB4K usually has close to 20 children on our waiting list hoping that someone will find it in their hearts to adopt their need and improve their quality of life.  Such a simple request, but one that cannot happen without your support.

 

Find a group of people (your family, a church group, your co-workers, etc.) who would find this challenge uplifting and fulfilling.  Choose a child and give us a call (513-770-2900) or send us an email (BBKids@BB4K.org) to let us know which one you have chosen.  At this time, we can also discuss whether you want a poster, some informational cards to distribute, or even an email with the details and picture of the child in it.

Annual Campaign

 

It is time again for our Annual Campaign!!  Building Blocks for Kids (BB4K) is a unique organization in that there are few organizations nationwide who provide the same services for children with health-related needs.  We assist with some of the most basic needs such as bath chairs, hearing aids, wheelchair ramps, and therapy.  We need your help to keep the organization running.  Our overhead costs are very low but they exist nonetheless.  Board members are committing to monthly donations in order to help cover our monthly overhead.  But we need your help too!  Even a consistent $5 - $10 per month makes a huge difference!!
